Dr Dougal Buchanan is an Australian-trained ENT surgeon with expertise in the full spectrum of adult and paediatric ear, nose and throat conditions. He provides thoughtful, patient-centred care across all areas of general ENT, with particular interests in head and neck cancer, salivary gland disease, thyroid surgery, nose and sinus surgery, and the assessment and management of neck lumps, skin lesions, and other soft tissue conditions of the head and neck.

Dougal has completed a dedicated fellowship in the treatment of head and neck cancer, further strengthening his expertise in this complex and demanding area. He holds public hospital appointments at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital, and Eastern Health. In these roles, he contributes to the care of a broad range of ENT presentations and is actively involved in multidisciplinary cancer care and surgical education.
